Dani is a Portuguese-born, half-Russian photographer based in London and a Nikon Creator supported by the brand. She studied film for six years between Lisbon and London, building a strong foundation in visual structure and narrative.

She started out photographing her friends at school and the skatepark at age 12, drawn to her friends emotions and unpredictability of movement. After moving to London, Dani built a career shooting some of the world’s biggest musicians, moving from music and fashion into commercial sports photography.

In 2020, when everything shifted, Dani began returning to the outdoors—both in her work and in her life. She’s since spent summers camping in the remote  mountain regions between Montana and Idaho. These stretches of time off-grid have been deeply impactful, offering the space to reflect on how she wants her work to evolve—away from constant output and toward something slower, more deliberate, and personally driven. The commercial side of her practice continues to support these periods of exploration, giving her the freedom to rebuild her relationship with photography on her own terms.
